In an extreme example of Investigative Reporting, Vincent J Eid is leading the effort of homeless rehabilitation by submerging himself entirely into the homeless culture of New Orleans, LA. The streets of New Orleans have a deadly infamous reputation of claiming lives to violence that is recognized around the world. Known for Mardi Gras as well as being one of the most authentic culinary capitals in the world; it’s contrarily also known for homicide, heroin overdose, and homelessness. Vincent J Eid decided to lead a group of activists connect with people living on the streets by viewing the world through similar eyes. Vincent J Eid started this in order to Reconcile reasons for past homelessness, and to Recognize the current state of Homelessness in order to figure out what’s actually needed to rehabilitate these perspectives to Realize their maximum selves in the future. Viewing the world and moment as an extension of our true self, The Crisis feels that the best way to expose the realities of the homelessness situation was to DIVE IN and find out what’s really going on. We are in the process of collecting 500 interviews of homeless people broken from society looking for answers to Life's greatest simple questions. We have also come to spread the good news of HOPE to the people. Instead of just being a building that says, "Yeah, yeah, we'll collect the money and you get what we give you" we follow the path of saying, "I came to you to get to know you, I want to know what you need to be Happy. Then I'll go get the research and bring you the experience to fuel the progress of your moment, and I'll inform and connect you to relevant services. I will cross your path, as life does, to remind you of the possibility of achieving your greatest self. We will bring you HOME FOREVER starting from the internal self, reflecting that clarity into the outside environment."
Changing lives on a consistent basis and being that blessing, crying with our broken family, giving them the motivation to live as they stumble back from the brink of suicide.... It has been my greatest pleasure to directly change the world. It will be my greatest joy to bring the rehabilitation, compassion, and clarity to the World Stage. Exposing to the world the great Crisis that must be fixed. I am bringing the problem to the world stage and then motivating the whole by motivating the homeless. Extending peoples compassion around the world to our broken family.
They say, "The first step in solving a problem is recognizing that there is one"
Filming in the morning near the Mississippi River, New Orleans
We have a dedicated team of field professionals dedicated to capturing the moments needed to show the crisis of homelessness. We regularly go out in the morning and pass out sandwiches to start peoples day off with a motivational talk, leaving them with something new in mind. Spreading the joy and love to all people is our goal, but starting with the homeless is our greatest reward. "Raising the bar from the Bottom" is our goal.
Filming at night in the French Quarter, New Orleans.
In order to keep footage of these charitable actions we make sure to keep our camera equipment in good running condition. We also make sure not to let the sunlight restrict our efforts. DAY & NIGHT we can be seen throughout the city making a difference. Every moment happens in order to give us a chance to share the lifestyle and schedule of those without one. We have to be where the Crisis is, it is what we are called to do.
